As many of you know, I spend a lot of time putting together webedits. The tough part of that is when the session gets going hard, I want to ride and hate to ask someone else to film, the result? A lot of the banger tricks and shots don't get taken. Bring in Shelby Smith. Shelby is a local rider and high school student who kills it on the bike and has a true talent with the camera. He came out to our local jumps and put together an awesome edit.
Below is the edit Shelby put together. We spent a few hours digging and tuning up the lines and then of course shredding. Shelby and I were out fairly early in the morning, with our water source frozen over, snow and ice still on the jumps, and we were both seeing our breath in the air. The sun finally came out, the jumps melted a bit and the rest of the crew started to trickle in. A bunch of locals showed up to dig and ride including World Cup racer Joey Schusler. The local scene at these jumps is definitely growing. We will be filming a lot more out there and will have a video tour of the park once its complete in the spring.
We will be closed on New years day and Reopening on Tues the 4th on January.New hours after that will be..Tues - Sat 10am-5pm.Lets pray for no snow in the valley and lots above 8,000 ft!!
Mike Zeek came out with me(James) to get some much needed work done on Freelunch and PuckerUp. We started at the top and worked our way to the bottom of PuckerUp, rebuilding and working stuff as we went. Lips and landings were pretty worked over but are good to go now!
This landing had a big hole right where front tires land..
But after a little time, some rock and dirt shes as smooth as day one. Be sure to get a ride or 5 on the freshly rebuilt features they'er hittin' real nice! Snow is inbound.... Hope not to soon, or ever!!! haha
